After taking enough hits it exits Defensive Mode and switches to offense.
Has Thorns while in Defensive Mode — multi-hit attacks will hurt you.

Strategy

Watch for the mode-switch signal. While in Defensive Mode, focus on stacking Block or Poison. Save burst attacks for Offensive Mode. Don't burn high-damage cards into its shield.
