How to Beat The Corrupt Heart

Act 4 β€” The Heart Β· HP: 750

Extreme
Beat of Death is the deadliest mechanic β€” every card you play damages YOU. Keep your deck lean; never add junk cards.
Key Mechanics
  • Beat of Death: every card you play deals damage back to you β€” increases each phase.
  • Has massive Block and Strength buffs β€” requires extreme burst to penetrate.
  • The fight accelerates over time; you must kill it within a limited number of turns.
Strategy

This is the final boss β€” only lean, high-quality decks succeed. Beat of Death punishes playing many cards, so every card must count. Single-turn mega-burst is the optimal win condition.

Moves

Corrupt Heart rewards compressed turns, not busy turns

Corrupt Heart tests whether a deck can survive repeated pressure while still ending the fight. Extra low-value card plays are risky unless they cross a real Block, damage, or scaling breakpoint.

Before entering the fight

  • Identify the deck’s best burst Block turn and whether it can be drawn when Blood Shots or a large hit arrives.
  • Count how many cards must be played before damage scaling is online.
  • Decide which powers or setup cards are worth the early tempo cost and which should be skipped in hand.

Why prepared decks lose here

  • They have enough scaling in theory but pay too much life while assembling it.
  • They use many small cards that do not change a survival or kill threshold.
  • They cover the first dangerous turn but have no second plan once the fight continues.

Cards that improve the matchup

  • Large one-card defense, such as Impervious, can buy the turn where the deck would otherwise collapse.
  • Orb or passive-damage cards need enough support to offset the card-play pressure.
  • Tempo cards like Dash help early, but the final plan still needs scaling output or repeatable defense.
