Silent tempo card

Dash buys one clean turn of Block and damage

Dash is strongest while the deck is still patching Act 1 and Act 2 fundamentals. One card covering both defense and damage can stabilize awkward draws.

Pick it when

  • The Silent deck needs immediate damage without skipping Block on the same turn.
  • Two energy is affordable and the next fights punish hands that only attack or only defend.
  • The deck lacks compact tempo more than it lacks long-term scaling.

Pass or delay when

  • The deck has moved into low-cost Poison, discard, or draw chains where a two-cost card clogs turns.
  • Upcoming fights demand scaling or precise damage bursts rather than one solid tempo card.
  • Energy is tight and playing Dash would prevent the rest of the hand from working.

Matchup notes

  • Against early elites and hallway fights, Dash is often valuable because it reduces split attack-versus-defend turns.
  • Against Aeonglass, a single card that does two jobs can be useful if the deck is respecting the card-play budget.
  • Against Corrupt Heart, Dash is usually support, not the plan; the deck still needs scaling Block, damage, or card economy.

Common misreads

  • Keeping Dash too long as the primary damage plan after the deck needs scaling.
  • Ignoring the two-energy cost in hands that already require setup.
  • Taking it over a card that fixes a more urgent draw, energy, or scaling weakness.
